“The 2016 Rosé is a roughly equal blend of Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca, a little heavy on the Franca, dry and coming in at 13% alcohol. With that classic pale salmon for color, this aims for a dry and refined feel. I’m not sure it has as much zing as last year’s beauty, but it is still very nice and a terrific value. Serious in flavor, smooth and understated, this can be drunk on its own or used as a nice food pairing. Drink it young. This is not imported, but it runs only around six Euros in Portugal.” – 30th Jun 2017

OENOLOGY
The best bunches from the slopes of the Torto and the Távora rivers are selected; the grape bunches are carefully harvested to plastic containers of 20 kilograms; at the winery, the bunches are de-stemmed, the grapes are crushed and the must decanted for 48 hours; then the must is fermented in stainless-steel vats at the controlled temperature of 15ºC; the resulting wine matures and stabilizes by the cold winter action until Spring, in stainless-steel vats; then, around March it is stabilized, filtered and bottled for release after 1 month.
